Origins of NTT Data Group Corporation traces back to the establishment of Data Communications Division within Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Public Corporation in the year 1967. On 23rd May 1988, this division was spun off as a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTT and named NTT Data Communications Systems Corporation.
